David King Boys Track & Field Coach of the Year
Congratulations to David King on being named Delaware Boys Track & Field Coach of the Year!
This well-deserved honor is a testament to David’s leadership, dedication, and commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the track. While Coach King is quick to share the credit, this achievement reflects the incredible impact he has made through his vision and passion for the sport.
David recognizes that this success would not have been possible without the unwavering support and hard work of his outstanding coaching staff—Zack Osborne, Blair Osborne, Daisey Taylor, Landon Tripp, Jonathan Kellam Sr., and Ashae Johnson—who have dedicated countless hours to helping student-athletes reach their full potential.
He also extends special thanks to Joey Jones and Josh Scotton for welcoming him to the prestigious Coach of the Year wall, and to his family and friends for their encouragement along the way. Most importantly, David expresses his deepest gratitude to his wife, Stephanie King, whose patience, love, and support have been instrumental throughout his coaching journey.
Congratulations, Coach King, on this remarkable accomplishment and for the positive impact you continue to make in Delaware track and field!

DIAA Football Class 1A State Championship Game
All attendees at University of Delaware's football athletic events ages 12 and older, must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR coronavirus test taken within 72 hours of the event. "Full Vaccination" means that guests have received their final COVID-19 vaccine dose at least 14 days in advance of the day of the game. Authentic proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test will be accepted as long as the test was taken within 72 hours of the day of the game through a medical or accredited company; please note that "at home tests" will not be accepted.
The University of Delaware has developed a digital system to allow external visitors to upload their COVID-19 vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test results before attending a UD sponsored event. The Visitor Events Health Pass replaces the need for visitors to show paper copies of photo images of vaccination or test records when entering an event. The pass is integrated with the online UD Daily Health Check. To expedite event entry, fans should visit covidcheck.udel.edu in advance of event day and upload your proof of vaccine or negative test to the Visitor Events Health Pass, fill out the UD Daily Health Check on the day of the game, and show your green event ticket at the gate for entry. Fans wishing to show paper copies or photo images of vaccination or test records can still do so, in combination with a green check mark from the UD Daily Health Check, for entry at the event.
More information detailing health and safety attendance guidelines at the University of Delaware can be found by visiting https://bluehens.com/sports/2021/9/26/delaware-athletics-health-and-safety-attendance-guidelines-aspx
